I follow [or at least attempt to] quite a few ministry related blogs. This list will likely be updated somewhat frequently, so tune in! 

  • Church Relevance – a “free online resource” for people interested in ministry 
  • Collide Magazine Blog – the blog portion of a great ministry and media magazine 
  • Greg Boyd – pastor in st paul, mn. very theological and heady blog. most the time i dont even understand it. 
  • Immersion – blog for immersion church in des moines, ia. very real and honest blog. 
  • John Piper – one of the most respected pastors/authors/theologians of our time. based out of minneapolis. 
  • Justin Wise – pastor at immersion in des moines, ia. sweet blog.. very culturally relevant. 
  • The Resurgence – a ministry of mars hill church in seattle. Mainly theological stuff. 
  • Rhett Smith – good blog with psychological and ministry related posts. cool and fresh I think. 
  • Tony Morgan – communications and technology guru at newspring church in sc. awesome. 
  • Christ and Pop Culture – pretty self-explanatory. a look at media and such and how Jesus fits in. 
  • Church Communications Pro – again, self-explanatory. A blog all about communicating in ministry. 
  • Church Marketing Sucks – a blog about marketing church and retaining Jesus. very highly read. 
  • Church Crunch – “exploring the intersection between technology and the church” 
  • Clayton King – renowned speaker and ministry leader. 
  • Dino Rizzo – lead pastor of healing place church in baton rouge. 
  • Don Miller – author of well known book blue like jazz. 
  • John Dyer – great blog called dont eat the fruit about the influence of technology on the church. 
  • Anne Jackson – writer of mad church disease and church staffer. she writes an incredibly honest and refreshing blog. 
  • Ben Arment – innovation director at catalyst in atlanta. 
  • Internet Monk – writes good articles. i dont always necessarily agree, but it’s definitely thought-provoking.
  • Jason Miller – pastor at granger community church. a new blogger, but good stuff comin out here. 
  • Kem Meyer – communications director at granger community church. 
  • Swerve – a lifechurch.tv blog. “a leadership, innovation, and technology blog”. 
  • Steven Furtick – pastor at elevation church in nc. short and very readable posts. 
  • Paul Stewart – pastor and church planter here in des moines, ia. coming soon to a downtown near you: gateway church.
  • Perry Noble – pastor for newspring church in nc. awesome blog.. very impactful words. 
  • Phil Cooke – “dispatches from the front lines of media, faith, and culture”
  • Ragamuffin Soul – incredibly creative pastor in atlanta. once featured on la ink. 
  • Scott Hodge – pastor in aurora, ill. he loves starbucks like i do. 
  • Seth Godin – a business and marketing whiz. not directly related to ministry, but can definitely be applied. 
  • The Digital Sanctuary – “news, articles, and insights on technology and the church”. 
  • Think Christian – “we talk about Christ, culture and the way that faith plays out in everyday life”.
  • Tony Steward – online community pastor for lifechurch.tv. offers a lot of insight on social media and productivity. 
  • Heather Zempel – small groups director for national community church in dc. “creative discipleship for emerging generations”. 
  • Pete Wilson – pastor in tennessee. recently redesigned the site and it looks nice! 

and my favorite blog to read is Mark Batterson’s, a pastor in dc. his writing inspires me more than most books do, on a very continuous basis. awesome awesome awesome blog.
